The Power of Momentum: Why You Must Have It If You Must Succeed In Business & Life

The Power Of Using Momentum In Achieving Success In Life and Business

As it ever happened to you that you tried to begin a task or take certain sets of actions , but you hesitated after the start of the task and then you found out that you just can’t finish up the job or task you started without knowing what to do next? This happens to quite a lot of home based business owners which can be as a result of we just waiting for the perfect time to move forward or we might just be waiting for our confidence and energy to come back to us so that we can continue with the job at hand because we don’t feel up to the challenge. Hesitation can also occur due to slight setbacks and we might be waiting for the right time for the challenges or obstacles to vanish so that our goals will be easier to achieve. Unfortunately, we only get stuck and our goals will never be achieved.

This form of hesitation is what I always refer to as procrastination which only steal our time in achieving our goals in life as well as business. Just imagine how often do we use those reasons as excuses to avoid leaving our comfort zone? So we must always remember this lovely saying that “the greatest obstacle to greatness is excuses”. Let’s face it, if we are looking to justify procrastination, there is no shortage of reasonable sounding excuses. Excuses is one of the cheapest commodity to make, but it only act against us achieving greatness in most cases.

Procrastination will only steal our dreams from Manifesting which means we are going no where!
If we wait to take action for a longer period, it will become harder to get started. One basic fact is that things will never be perfect and waiting for a perfect time means we are going nowhere. The truth is, we will never get a perfect moment until we create it ourselves. It will probably never get any easier to move forward and every moment that we hold back will just make things worse.

“Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is heavy.” -Wayne Gretzky

When we avoid taking action it’s often because we have created resistance in our own mind. We have convinced ourselves that what we want to do is exceedingly difficult. But is that really true or is it just an avoidance technique?

“The most important thing you can do to achieve your goals is to make sure that as soon as you set them, you immediately begin to create momentum.” -Tony Robbins

The Cure for Procrastination:

One huge reason why we procrastinate is because we lack courage to take action so as to build momentum. Momentum is one of those rare, self-perpetuation phenomenon. That’s what makes it so powerful. The perfect example of momentum, in physics when a car is moving down a hill. What happens? It grows and picks up speed along the way even without the engine switched on once the brake is off, right? How does this apply to achieving our goals and living our dreams?

WE only get momentum when get the courage to take consitent actions regularly

Instead of getting pinned down by excuses, we need to create some momentum as soon as possible. And really, this is not something that is all that difficult to do. That fast moving car started out small and slow. The reason it grew was because it kept moving. We don’t always need to launch into action like a rocket, but we do need to start moving and to keep moving so we can build some momentum.

The truth is at the start of something new, we have no momentum but if we take actions daily and every task we complete successfully build the momentum to achieve more faster. So taking consistent action toward our goals is the best way to build momentum. That means that taking action will get easier and easier as we go along. Eventually the actions we take will require much less effort. We’ll begin to enjoy our activities because We’ll feel more empowered and confident and we’ll have momentum on our side.

Courage to Act!  Consistent Actions Build Momentum!!  Momentum builds Confidence!!

Easy Steps On How to build Momentum Fast?

Taking massive action kills procrastination; If we consistently work on our plans in achieving our goals, we will avoid making excuses which will breed confidence and momentum and at the same time kill our doubts and fear.

“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” Dale Carnegie

Great post, Kenny. I especially like when you say to take small consistent actions daily. That’s the key. It’s better to plan small goals daily than to over schedule yourself. Over scheduling can sometimes lead to feeling overwhelmed – and that can cause people to give up.
