MASTERING PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS

Over the past few years of my non-productivity as an entrepreneur and well as network marketer, I have always blamed my outside world such as lack of resources, capital, mentor or role model, guidance, opportunities, poor family backgrounds and even the society as the cause for my persistent lack of success in business.
I never tasted success in business until I started to look deep inside me through the help of some great personal development books/ resources such as ‘think and grow Rich by Napoleon Hills’, a great book every aspiring entrepreneur who wants to create wealth must digest.
Anyway, I have come to realized that personal effectiveness is KEY in growing a business.
I will hereby discuss my favourite tips of being effective as a person and how they can help your business.
- DEVELOP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE: It is very important that we recognise the importance of portraying an positive attitude at all times. This is what makes us attractive to our prospective business partners or customers. Always remember that no one wants to connect with a negative minded person. In order for us to develop a positive attitude, we must always focus on our strengths, the qualities or skills that make us unique or valuable. We need to always ask ourselves the question of “what makes us productive?”. Only when we have a possibility mentality that we will attract people to our business. The Only Reason why People are attracted to us is because of what they can gain from us…. so show them love by being positive!
- BE ORGANISED: we must always have the end in mind at all times, this a unique quality of great entrepreneurs, they always have visions , they organise their visions into small achieveable goals over a period of time. So we must always plan our goals and organised them so as to achieve our long term visions. We must discipline ourselves with regards to organising our plans. It’s worth it because its one the the unique quality of great leaders and will make us attractive to others.
- DEVELOP PEOPLE SKILLS: We must understand that we will never become great entrepreneurs if we do not have excellent people’s skills. We must develop the ability to talk and listen to people, to make them know that we care for them and willing to help them, to add values to their lives. Like I said earlier on, every man only wants to connect with you because of the value they will get from you. Just like Les Giblin said in his book How to be People Smart,
“We must treat everyone as if on their fore head is a sign saying make me feel important”. So, the more people we can connect with or influence will determine our success rate in business.
Also, it is vital to know that network marketer and most business is a people’s business, there is no way we can make money with connecting with people.
- BE CREATIVE: You must develop your own style. I am not saying that you should re-invent only if you are a rocket scientist. You can follow a system but just customize it to make it your own.
To be creative, you just have to be yourself and be unique.
You think about your style in terms of your BRAND. So you agree that an element of creativity is needed for us to be uniquely appealing to our customers.
- ALWAYS COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY: it is essential that for the world to feel our presence, we must communicate our ideas to the world for them to notice us. this is the essence of marketing. You will never make money even if you have the best ideas, products in the world.
You must find a way of exposing the values of your ideas, products and services to the world.
the more we communicate effectively with our market; the more exposure we will get and the more our chances of succeeding in business.
- MODEL OTHERS: In order to grow your business quickly, it is vital to look for others/systems that are succeeding on a larger scale than you. You must relate with them and try to find out what they are doing? as well as what is working for them and try to model the strategies for their success. Learn more
- TAKE MASSIVE ACTIONS: Always ensure that you take massive actions at all times either you feel like or not. Once you have a goal, task or idea;
it is vital that you must take immediate and massive actions towards the actualization of your goals.
Remember, if you don’t take action on your idea now, someone else will. - CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE YOURSELF: There is a saying that a giant oak tree was once a seed. One thing that you must never fail to do is improving yourself, your brands and everything about your business. Always adopt the CANI principle (Continuous And Never end Improvement).
Never ever rest on your laurels, you must always build on your past success.
This is one unique quality of every heavy weight entrepreneur.
